OA Ocean Adventure

The Order of the Arrow has had a long standing history with each of Scouting’s national high adventure bases, and Florida Sea Base is no exception. While the OA’s program at Florida Sea Base was paused in 2023 to undergo a comprehensive review, the OA has been steadfast in our commitment to restarting this program as soon as possible. While we are currently in discussions for exciting long-term experiences with future partners, we just couldn’t wait any longer to begin our adventure again. While we finalize plans for the next chapter of OA Ocean Adventure, we wanted to announce a limited-time two-session re-opening of OA Ocean Adventure, the Order of the Arrow’s program at Florida Sea Base, for the summer of 2025!

The limited-time re-opening of OA Ocean Adventure will have it enter its newest iteration of the program - which will showcase everything the Florida Keys has to offer. For 2025, OA Ocean Adventure will be a seven-day program, during which participants who are between the ages of 16 - 20 will explore the lower Florida Keys and the waters that surround it. This will involve camping on a primitive island, learning about the unique ecosystem of the Florida Keys, visiting an active coral nursery, and developing close bonds with fellow OA members on Big Munson Island. Participants will also conduct various conservation projects to protect and preserve the island for years to come.

If you are interested in attending OA Ocean Adventure in 2025, don’t hesitate and sign up now - as spots are extremely limited! If you are interested in being a part of OA High Adventure at other high adventure bases other than Sea Base, we encourage you to look into our other programs this summer at Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier, and the Summit Bechtel Reserve!
